Hitting the 9 key would normally dial a number which you have previously copied to the clipboard.
Once a record has at least one phone number, you can install the name here. If there is more than one number, then add comments such as "Home" after them.
You do not have to reinstall the name after entering the phone numbers in the record unless you wish comments such as (Home) to show up.
